1973 Hamilton W10 - British Army Issued

More amazing vintage militaria up for grabs today:

A Hamilton W10 issued to the British Army in 1973 - the inaugural year that the W10 was issued.

With being a British Army issued watch, you get a lot of distinctive design elements - most notably the Broad Arrow insignia on the dial and case back.

Also, you see the addition of the circled “T” symbol on the dial, denoting tritium lume - which is intact (barring small degradation on 12 o’clock triangle ) and aging gorgeously.

The W10 was the LAST mechanical timekeeper issued to the British Army before the switch to the quartz powered CWC G10 in 1980

Inside beats an in-house Hamilton cal 649 that has recently undergone a full service.

For all intents and purposes - the watch has laid untouched since commissioning and is in mint, near NOS condition.
